Savica joined forces with the Communication Department at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FISIP UI) to review the performance of the Government of Indonesia in communicating COVID-19 to the public during the period spanning from January through June 2020 . This research was supported by KawalCOVID-19 and was conducted as a pro-bono project by Savica. This was the first research project for Savica to fully combine the forces of academics, business, and community. Data were collected from published sources as well as through interviews and an online survey with key stakeholders. The results have been shared with the government (Ministry of Communication and Information Technology) through a webinar event hosted by FISIP UI in July 2020, and will later be compiled with other COVID-19 related studies as a FISIP UI policy brief. The dissemination aimed to share recommendations to the Government to improve its strategy in communicating to the public, particularly in crises such as the current pandemic and other crises.
