Indonesian Working Group on Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition GAIN (2011-2013)

In the wake of the global Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) Working Group meeting in Washington DC in 2011, the idea of establishing the Indonesian MYCN WG was born in Jakarta on 13 June 2011, and the first meeting was held on 6 July 2011. Savica’s principal consultant was one of the founders, together with Dr. Minarto, MPS (then Director of Community Nutrition at the MOH), Ir. Tetty Sihombing, MPS (Director of Food Standardization at BPOM), and Prof. Dr. Hardinsyah, MS (Bogor Agricultural University IPB). Members include experts in the field of Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition. Savica, with financial support from GAIN, ran the Secretariate, organizing regular meetings and keeping members updated on developments in nutrition.
