As part of its Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition MIYCN) program, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) engaged Savica to perform a landscape analysis on adolescent and maternal nutrition in Indonesia. An extensive document review and interviews with key stakeholders led to a document to inform the focus for further formative research. Gaps in the available information included: actual nutrition intake and attitudes towards nutrition and reproductive health, actual activity patterns/most appropriate channels, local beliefs related to food in and around pregnancy, to what extent dietary behavior is related to beliefs or to food security issues.
