Savica supported SurfAid to build capacity and assist the team in developing and implementing the Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) Strategy for NUSATANI, a program aimed at improving the economic status and food security of remote communities using a Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture approach (NSA) or nutrition sensitive agriculture.
The assignment began with a rapid assessment in two intervention locations (Bima and West Sumba districts), aiming to delve and confirm the findings from the situational analysis in order to develop a strategy that is appropriate to the context and specific needs of each district. Savica then facilitated a workshop on developing the SBCC strategy & communication, information and education (IEC) materials. Furthermore, we provided training to the NUSATANI team regarding effective communication as provision for the NUSATANI team to carry out their duties in the field.
