Acute malnutrition is still a common occurrence in Indonesia and many other countries. One of the most appropriate therapies for severe acute malnutrition is RUTF (Ready to Use Therapeutic Food). In order to cater better to Indonesian children, Savica carried out an acceptability study for one of the main producers of these products in two locations in Indonesia (NTT and East Java). The results will be used to inform the formulation and production of the most suitable product for the treatment of severe acute malnutrition.

This study was carried out in cooperation with Universitas Brawijaya and the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) in France, and forms the first in a series of continued research.
